Home Workout Challenge

I’m excited to share that I have partnered up with the Home Workout Challenge website and will be contributing fitness tips or workouts. ūüôā

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you know how much I adore workouts that don’t require equipment AND this site is a fantastic resource for body weight routines.

Surprisingly, I had never heard of this site before being approached to partner with them. Now I’m happy I can share it with all of you! There is a huge amount of information on this site from: workouts, fitness tips, challenges, nutrition, and motivation.

I was able to contribute for their most recent article: What to do when healthy living gets boring.

Recent Happenings

I just realized I haven’t blogged since before I left for Seattle, woops!

Here’s some pictures to prove¬†how busy I’ve been in my blogging absence ūüôā

My trip back to Seattle was jam-packed- I did so much in the 3 days:  went to pike place market, went shopping downtown, spent time with friends and family, and ate a lot of food of course.







Of course the sun came out my last day in town! Figures! So happy I was able to visit, hoping to make another trip back late fall.


This weekend I checked out the Shape Magazine, “Shape up for Summer” event in Hermosa Beach. ¬†I was browsing through last month’s issue and saw an ad for the event and was super excited that I could attend! Of course Jillian’s class was sold out by the time I signed up, but I was able to get into the “Burn & Firm” class taught by Andrea Orbeck- one of the trainers for the Victoria Secret Models.

The weather was perfect for an outdoor workout- a little overcast and about 60 degrees with a breeze. ¬†We didn’t do much upper body exercises during the workout, so basically it was an entire hour of legs and butt- lots of lunges, squats, and plyometrics….I loved it BUT¬†I’m having¬†a difficult time moving¬†around today.

I would have¬†liked to try more classes- they also offered yoga and kickboxing- but everything was filled up by the time I signed up, so I’m lucky I got in!




Nothing beats sweating it out outside right in front of the ocean, it was a great way to start my weekend and it inspired me to write up a new Summer workout- I know I’ve been slacking on that- it’s in the works and I will be sharing one soon!

Trip Planning

I’m so excited to be going to Seattle later this week! Woo!

It’s going to be super busy fitting in family and friends, but it’s going to be so fun to visit some of my favorite places.

AND the weather forecast is looking pretty good so far…75 degrees one of the days!





My trip is definitely going to revolve¬†around food- one of the days I’m meeting different girlfriends for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Lol. ¬†I’m hoping to get in lots of working out this week because I’m not going to have¬†much time at all once I get up to Seatown.

Oh and I’m of course making a stop at one of my favorite Seattle places……



You do burn some calories with shopping right?? And carrying heavy¬†bags? Ha, we’ll see.

Hubby is going to be home in Cali with puppy….this is going to be the longest amount of time¬†away from her yet….lol.

I know I’m going to miss this little face…..I’ll make sure hubby sends me lots of picture updates. ūüôā


But I must say it’s going to be nice to not have¬†a 6am wake-up call for a few days….

Now off to do the exciting task of folding laundry and packing…..wish me luck.
